A popular pub and a nightclub are set to reopen after receiving a £500,000 facelift and revamp.
Following a refurbishment, The Beehive pub and its club The Loft (formerly Colors), located in Basildon’s Southernhay area, have a new look interior.
New flooring, carpets and booth seating areas have been installed as part of the refurbishment to the venue, along with new tiling.
Upstairs in The Loft an additional DJ booth has been added as well as new VIP seating areas, with the club's bar now also adding a range of crafted cocktails to the drinks menu.
With the new football season now well underway, The Beehive boasts five large TVs throughout the pub for families and friends to enjoy all the biggest live sporting events.
Guests have a range of entertainment on offer with Thursday night pub quizzes and Sunday night Karaoke held at The Beehive along with Thursday night LGBTQIA nights held in The Loft.
The Beehive and The Loft (formerly Colors) are set to reopen on Wednesday September 7 and Thursday September 8 respectively.
The Beehive is to open from 8am everyday serving classic pub favourites for breakfast, lunch and dinner with new pizzas also added to the menu.
General manager at The Beehive, Sarah Gage said: "This is an exciting time for myself and the team at The Beehive and we are so pleased to see our amazing venue almost ready to open again.
"This refurbishment has been a perfect opportunity for us to bring the pub into 2022 with a fresh new look and the final result is just brilliant.
"I can’t wait to reopen the doors on the seventh and see what our regulars make of the changes we’ve made to the place.
"This is a great pub for families and friends to meet up. For us it’s all about bringing the local people together as an all-day community pub, and nightlife venue."
- The Beehive is open Sunday to Thursday 8am to 11 pm, Friday to Saturday 8am to 12am
- The Loft is open Thursday to Saturday 10pm to 3am
