A POLICE cordon has been put in place following concerns for the safety of a man.

Officers were called to Rayleigh Road in Hadleigh just after 9am this morning.

It followed concerns for the safety of a man, who police say has been taken to hospital.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called to Rayleigh Road in Hadleigh shortly after 9am this morning, September 1, following a concern for safety of a man. 

“We remain on the scene supporting the ambulance service and a police cordon is in place. 

“The man has been taken to hospital.”
