CANADIAN fast-food giant Tim Hortons has had plans for a new branch in Basildon granted.
Tim Hortons has had plans granted for a new restaurant and drive thru to be located in the former Burger Brats and Outback Steakhouse unit.
It will be located in Miles Gray Road, adjacent to the Pipps Hill Retail Park and opposite the new St Hilary Retail Park.
The application granted was for the “demolition of the existing restaurant unit and the erection of a drive thru coffee shop and restaurant”.

There will also be alterations to the existing car parking, access, and landscaping and introduction of a new bin store and plant equipment.
Tim Hortons sells a number of hot and cold beverages including coffees and shakes.
They also sell food from breakfast items, burgers, hot dogs, wraps, chicken tenders, cheese melts, lattice fries, and donuts.
The nearest branch of Tim Hortons is Braintree, so the Basildon branch will be the first in south Essex.
It is currently unknown when the branch will open or when works will begin.
