Council bosses have announced a raft of closures and changes to services across Castle Point on Monday when The Queen’s funeral takes place.
A bank holiday has been declared across the UK to mark the occasion, which will see a state funeral held at Westminster Abbey as part of a final send of for late monarch.
Castle Point Council says many of its buildings, including leisure centres, will be shut on Monday, while bin collections will also be postponed.
Residents across the borough are asked to put their waste out a day later than normal next week due to the changes borough about by the bank holiday.

A council spokesman said: In accordance with national guidance issued by government, essential public services, including those which support major life events, will continue during the period of national mourning, including the bank holiday.
“Burials or internments of ashes scheduled for September 19 will go ahead.
“All other council services will be paused for the bank holiday as a mark of respect.”
