A new multi million pound Lidl being built at an up and coming new Basildon retail park is set to create 40 jobs for the town.

The supermarket is one of the businesses set to open at the new St Hilary's Retail Park currently being built off Miles Gray Road in Basildon.

Construction is ongoing after former industrial buildings were flattened at the junction of Miles Gray Road and Luckyn Lane.

Other businesses confirmed to be opening include home improvement store Tile Mountain, and self-storage business Lok’nStore.
