THE seahorses in the Southend estuary have now been given legal protection under the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
While it is good to know that they're being looked after, it is hard to imagine anyone would want to harm these delightful creatures.
Still, there may be a few punters around who lost their shirt on the Grand National and want to take out their frustration on horses of any description. You can't be too careful.
