What imaginative thinking by Marj Playle in her letter regarding the use of the Ekco building in Priory Crescent, Southend, to house the treasures of the Saxon king.
How about extending that idea to house the gorgeous collection of radios, televisions, recorders, record players and other electronic artefacts now languishing in Priory Park Museum?
The reality is the Saxon treasures will stay in London, the Ekco buildings will be demolished to make way for more flats, and the Ekco electronic collection will continue to gradually deteriorate in a forgotten room in a little visited museum in Priory Park.
