A show has been postponed at Cliffs Pavilion as the theatre is set to close as a "mark of respect" for the Queen.
Southend Theatres has announced Michael McIntyre's 'Work in Progress' has been rescheduled due to the state funeral on Monday (September 19).
The event has been pushed back to Friday October 14 and a spokesman says ticket holders have been emailed directly.
It was announced yesterday that Cliffs Pavilion and Palace Theatre will both be closed for the entire day on Monday "as a mark of respect".
A spokesman for Southend Theatres said on Facebook: "We are deeply saddened by the news that Her Majesty The Queen has passed away.
"Throughout her long life and historic reign, the Queen became one of the greatest icons of the modern age, inspiring generations of families and uniting the country during times of trouble or celebration.
"Her unique appeal was truly global.
"We send our condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the Royal Family at this sad time."
Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral at Westminster Abbey will be attended by more than 2,000 official guests including the heads of state of many nations.
Before the service, her coffin will be transported on the state gun carriage.
