THE death of a baby from a rare condition prompted Mark Taylor to run the London Marathon for Little Haven Children's hospice.
Mark, 30, of Long Lane, Grays, aims to cover the 26.2 miles in memory tot Febe Allison, from of Stifford Clays, who was born with a rare condition, trisomy 13 The condition is a genetic abnormality which limits the life of sufferers. Febe died aged one year exactly on December 12, 2006.
Mark said: "I am good friends with Febe's parents, Sarah and Luke Allison. I was so touched by their struggle to keep Febe alive I pledged to run the marathon.
"The training has been tough, but I'm confident I'll get round."
