CONTROVERSIAL plans to demolish a bungalow to make way for four semi-detached houses and four bungalows have been revealed.
The new homes would be built at 58 Victoria Avenue, Rayleigh, if the plan is approved by Rochford District Council.
Head of planning Shaun Scrutton is recommending the application should be approved despite letters of objection from three people.
He said the houses would be to the front of the site with access at the back.
Mr Scrutton said permission had already been granted for two houses on the site with two bungalows at the back.
He said the objections largely concerned overdevelopment because of the increased number of properties on the site.
The proposal will be considered by Rochford District Council's development control committee on Tuesday.
