I had the misfortune to travel from Laindon to Limehouse on the c2c line on my way to watch the marathon on Sunday.
I boarded the 10.05 train, which only had four carriages, and people were packed in like sardines.
This is bad enough as a commuter, but there were many small children who looked scared and be-wildered, as it must have been, in such close proximity to so many people.
Surely it can't have been beyond the comprehension of the powers that be at c2c that the route would be busy on that day and that eight-carriage trains would be necessary.
We may have just been unlucky on that particular journey, but I would be pleased to hear c2c's side of the story.
