Yet again there are some (Apr 21) who attempt to perpetuate the myth that nobody wants road improvements at Priory Crescent/Cuckoo Corner at Prittlewell.
Yes, 20,000 shoppers in the High Street signed a petition to "save the park" - but did they have to use Priory Crescent and were they told the park was not being touched?
Why did the unnecessary and expensive public inquiry ignore their protests and come to conclusion "doing nothing is not an option"?
Now, because of a few nimbys, tree huggers and out-of-town busybodies, the democratic process is held to ransom.
Yes, the road is expensive, so is fuel tax, road tax, VAT etc.
The Government has billions of pounds of our money that should be spent on improving the nation's infrastructure.
I, my family and friends all want these improvements now - we have been imprisoned in the east for long enough.
