Southend Council officers have been told to take a fresh look at commuter parking in Shoebury. How exactly?

On the one hand it's free to park anywhere you please in the Shoebury High Street.

On the other it's a nuisance having to drive around the block looking for a parking spot when it is pouring with rain because someone has parked their car outside our house and have gone off on the train to work.

Unfortunately these people leave their cars parked for up to 12 hours.

Improving parking conditions in the c2c car park will not help because these people don't want to pay! The charge of £3 a day before 9am to park all day in the c2c car park is a little high, when after 9am it's only £1.

When double yellow lines are popping up all over the place (Gunners Road especially) it's making it harder for any resident to find somewhere to park.

Is it any wonder so many people are having driveways put in to "claim" there little piece of road?
