Southend's books of condolence in memory of Queen Elizabeth II are set to close today.
Today (September 20) is the last day that Southend Council's books of condolence will be open for messages in memory of the late Queen.
Books of condolence will be open at the Civic Centre, Shoebury Library and Leigh Community Centre until 5pm.
Floral tributes can be also be left at the fountain outside the Civic Centre or Leigh Library Gardens.
However, the council asks residents who decide to leave flowers to remove the cellophane wrapping to protect the environment.
The online royal book of condolence is also available for anyone to send a message of condolence to the royal family.
A selection of messages will be passed onto members of the royal family, and may be held in the Royal Archives for posterity.
Members of the public can send their message of condolence using the form at royal.uk.
