A PUPIL at the FitzWimarc School in Rayleigh is the latest local youngster to step into the showbiz limelight.
Jedd Mann, 11, of The Limes, Rayleigh, has won a part in the upcoming production of Bugsy Malone at the Palace Theatre in Westcliff.
In his first audition, Jedd had to sing and act. The Year 7 pupil was then called back, given a script and had to act as part of a gang.
Finally Jedd got his hands on the script for the part of Dandy Dan and landed the part.
He said: "I really enjoy acting and dancing and hope one day to star in the West End."
