A driver who police say thought insurance and stopping for police was "optional" had their car seized yesterday.
Essex Police's rural engagement team were patrolling in Wickford yesterday when a driver without insurance failed to stop for officers.
The car has been seized.
A spokesman for the team said: "This driver thought insurance and stopping for RET officers was optional. It isn't.
"One of two cars seized by the team yesterday in the Wickford area."
Roads policing officers also shared yesterday that an uninsured vehicle had failed to stop for officers on patrols in Wickford.
This uninsured vehicle failed to stop for Police earlier whilst on #VisionZero patrols in #Wickford. A helpful member of public then guided us to the vehicle at the end of a footpath. Vehicle recovered and paperwork in the post to the owner #QT281 pic.twitter.com/2jtcHaJWRU
