Suspects who were alleged to have threatened members of public with weapons in Benfleet were arrested after a police chase.
Essex Police's dog section were called to Benfleet after reports occupants of a vehicle had threatened members of the public with weapons and tried to ram a police vehicle.
After a police chase, officers say the suspects ran off and hid.
They were promptly arrested after team work between police dog Bella and Essex Police's firearms unit.
A spokesman for the dog section said: "Occupants of a vehicle were alleged to have threatened members of public with weapons and tried to ram a police vehicle in Benfleet.
"After a short pursuit the suspects ran off and hid.
"Team work between PD Bella and EPFirearms located two suspects who were promptly arrested."
