FANCY getting your hands on some vintage agricultural machinery?
Barleylands Farm is shortly holding an auction and will be selling around 500 artefacts from its museum, including bygone farm machinery and tractors.
Among the items for sale include a pre-1920 Baker tractor, a Harris 81, a Fowler VF crawler, a Fordson F and a Ransomes Lorent baler.
There will also be stationary engines, early lawn mowers, wagons and carts.
The auction is being held because the museum collection is being moved to a new centre as part of the development of the farm.
Peter Philpot of Barleylands Farm said: "We have been collecting these artefacts for more than 20 years and we are very proud of our archive.
"With the new Discovery Centre opening we needed to make space for the more educational and interactive pieces.
"We want to encourage all members of the community to come to the sale and appreciate the wide range of items that are on offer.
"The development of the Discovery Centre is a fantastic way to educate people about farming, the countryside and our environment.
"This is due to open this summer and will highlight the outstanding facilities we have on offer."
The sale will be held at Barleylands Showground, Barleylands Road, Billericay on Saturday, June 7, at 10.30am.
There will also be children's activities taking place in the Farm Centre.
