A woman has been charged as part of an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs in Southend described by police as "significant."

As part of the operation, officers from the Essex Police Op Raptor South Team worked alongside officers from the Metropolitan Police Service and carried out a raid in south west London on Wednesday.

During the operation, a woman was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences. Officers also seized a number of items from the property.

Sophia Kabboua, 24, of Kings Road, SW10, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, production of a Class A drug and possession of criminal property.

She appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 29 September.

No pleas were entered, and she is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on October 27.
