OFFICERS are appealing for information after an assault saw a man punched in the face in Southend.
A man in his 50s was reportedly “struck to the face” in Victoria Avenue between 2.10pm and 2.20pm on Sunday.
Police say he was attacked by a man described as white and wearing all black clothing with a white strip on top and holding a mobile phone.
Essex Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are appealing for information following an assault in Southend.
“It was reported a man in his 50s was struck to the face in Victoria Avenue between 2.10pm and 2.20pm on Sunday (October 2).
“He walked down Victoria Avenue in the direction of Priory Park.
“If you have any information or CCTV, dash cam or any other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
