City Fibre, the company which is responsible for laying new cables to improve broadband speeds, will start work in Southend on Monday, October 10.
About £30 million is being spent on the city's full fibre upgrade.
Southend-on-Sea’s £30 million full fibre upgrade, in partnership with CityFibre, progressed quickly in 2021/22, ending the year with over 55% of Southend-on-Sea having access to gigabit broadband.
