AN investigation is underway after two dogs were stolen following a burglary in Canvey.
Officers were called to the address in The Weald yesterday afternoon after reports of a residential burglary where two French bulldogs had been stolen.
The suspects broke into the property via the back window before taking the six-month old puppy Ralph and two-year-old Baby.
Two arrests have since been made on suspicion of burglary dwelling, but the dogs are still yet to be located.

DS Jenna McQueen said “Our team have acted quickly, gathering forensic evidence and CCTV footage, to identify those responsible.
“Our focus now is to reunite the dogs with their very worried owners.
“We are appealing for anyone who may know the dogs whereabouts or have any further information to contact us and assist with our enquiries.
“Burglary has a devastating impact on victims, and this is something we don’t underestimate at Essex Police.
“We are committed to investigating all residential burglaries and working constantly to prevent these offences from occurring and thoroughly investigating them when they do.”
The burglary is believed to have occurred between 3pm and 4:25pm on Sunday, October 9.
A spokesman for Essex Police added: “We are appealing for the public’s help following a residential burglary in Canvey yesterday, where two dogs were stolen.
“We were called to the address in The Weald in Canvey yesterday afternoon (9 October) following reports of a residential burglary, where two French bulldogs had been stolen.
“The burglary was reported to us shortly before 4:30pm and our officers quickly identified two suspects.
“By 11pm, a 39-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Basildon were arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling.
“The dogs are yet to be located but officers are carrying out multiple enquiries to ensure their safe return.”
