A POLL predicting the outcome of a snap election would see three south Essex parliamentary seats turn red.

According to a survey conducted by the Trades Union Congress with Opinium, Labour would win a 411-seat landslide overall, with some of Essex’s seats turning red for the first time.

Major names in the cabinet such as Michael Gove, Jacob Rees-Mogg, and Jeremy Hunt could all lose their seats. Boris Johnson would also lose to Labour.

And according to Guido Fawkes, which has combed through each UK constituency, Rochford and Southend East MP James Duddridge would lose his seat to a Labour candidate were there to be a snap election.

South Basildon and East Thurrock MP Stephen Metcalfe and Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle-Price would both also lose their seats to the opposition.

In north Essex, Colchester MP Will Quince and Witham MP Priti Patel would both lose their seats to Labour.

Rochford and Southend East has been a Conservative seat since its creation in 1997, and the former Southend East seat had been held by Tories since 1950.

The South Basildon and East Thurrock and Thurrock seats have been Conservative since their creations in 2010.
