A person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash closed the QEII bridge this morning.
Traffic was stopped on the A282 QEII Bridge southbound this morning at the Dartford Crossing due to a crash involving two vehicles, believed to be a lorry and a van.
Emergency services including an air ambulance rushed to the scene.
Police have now confirmed a person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
These are not believed to be life-threatening.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Our officers were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A282 just before the QEII bridge at around 9.10am today (October 19).
"The road was closed for a short time to allow emergency teams to work. One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"These are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The road is now fully reopened."
The closure resulted in five miles of congestion on approach on the the M25 clockwise.
This came after the QEII bridge reopened last night as it had been closed for almost two days while Just Stop Oil protestors were on the high cables.
