A HUGE burst water main has closed a road in Southend.
According to a social media post by Essex Travel News on Wednesday evening, the junction between Priory Crescent and Eastern Avenue has been shut, with pictures showing a huge outpouring of water very near a number of homes.

The cause of the burst water main is not yet known.
And according to the Essex and Suffolk Water website, unplanned water disruption has been reported.
Both the police force and fire crews are in attendance at the incident, with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service asking residents to avoid the area whilst the emergency services work at the scene.
