SIGNIFICANT disruption is expected on c2c trains on the day of Southend's Halloween Parade with major works planned.
There are planned engineering works on Saturday when the city's Halloween parade will return.
The c2c line between Pitsea and Southend Central via Laindon is set to be shut.
A spokesman said: “Due to track maintenance work, the line between Pitsea and Southend Central via Laindon will be closed.
"These services will start/terminate at Pitsea. A shuttle train service will be in place between Southend Central and Shoeburyness."
Carole Mulroney, Southend councillor responsible for environment, culture and tourism, also warned visitors to plan their journey ahead as "major works" are carried out.
A spokesman for Southend Council added: “Plan your journey ahead as there is major interruption planned this weekend on C2C train line.
“A shuttle train service will be in place between Southend Central and Shoeburyness.
“Rail replacement will be in operation between Pitsea and Southend Central.”
