It comes as Kaspa’s Desserts opened at the cinema complex just yesterday.
There are now three restaurants open or set to open at the cinema complex - with three units yet to be filled.
The third open restaurants is the Oletto Lounge which has been operational since February.
The Cinema was originally set to open the same month, but a series of delays have set the project back, with council bosses now insisting it will open before the end of the year.
The new Nando’s restaurant will replace the current Eastgate Shopping Centre restaurant, which will be closing, with all staff transferred across and seating for 100 people.
It will be their third restaurant in Basildon with sites already open at the Festival Leisure Park and the Mayflower Retail Park.
