Phil Turner, councillor for Billericay West, said it is great to have the event back.
He added: “The Round Table do a good job all year round.
“But this is one of those events people put in their calendar and look forward to it, so I am sure everyone is glad it is back after the two-year break.
“I am very please and happy to support the event, which over the years has helped raise a lot for charity too.
“It will be good for Billericay too, and it is a community event which is exactly what we need after Covid too.”
Gates are open from 5pm, with a torchlight procession at 6pm, the bonfire lit at 6.05pm, music and entertainment from 6.10pm, the chairman’s address at 7.15pm, before the main display starting at 7.30pm.
The Billericay Round Table is a social club for young men between 18 and 45, and raise money through events which is then donated to good causes and projects across the area.
Gary Tilley, media officer at Billericay Round Table, said: “After two years’ break due to Covid we are really keen to make this event and raise good money for our charity account.
“This will allow us to donate money out to good local causes and projects as well as individuals that need assistance.
“We know from previous events people do travel from across the South East.”
Chairman Neil Cambell added: “Thank you to our community and supporters who ensure the event goes off with a bang.
“We are also very grateful to all the volunteers assisting us, their effort is and will be hugely appreciated.”
