Police have issued an update on their investigation into an incident where a man was injured after a crash in Basildon.
The incident happened in Uppermayne at around 11.40pm on Monday October 10.
It was reported a red car left the road and was in collision with a tree following an interaction with another vehicle, believed to be grey.
The driver reported a second vehicle, believed to be black, was driven at him.
He sustained serious injuries to his shoulder and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A woman was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent while two men were arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and criminal damage.
They have all since been released on bail until November 4.
Police now say they believe the incident started in the Westcliff area with all the vehicles involved having been driven from there initially.
