POLICE have seized weapons, drugs and balaclavas in Basildon during the Halloween chaos.
This follows the use of enhanced stop and search powers after,, an order under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 was made, following reports of a planned gang ‘knife battle’.
This meant officers could stop members of the public without having reasonable grounds to do so.
