Castle Point MP Rebecca Harris said: "I have received reports of a burst water main outside Kingston School on Church Road.
"I have spoken to Essex and Suffolk Water (ESW) who are on their way.
"The local Essex County Councillor, Beverley Egan has ensured that ESW have been asked to update the school so they can tell parents about any traffic management for the emergency repair that is likely to take place this afternoon.
"I will update this post with details about traffic management and probable lane closure when Essex and Suffolk Water get back to my office with an update."
