A YOUNG teenager has been left with significant injuries to his face after a serious assault in Southend High Street.
Essex Police is appealing for witnesses after a teenage child was attacked by a man in KFC in the High Street.
The incident occurred on Thursday, October 20, at 6:30pm and as a result the young teenager was left with numerous significant injuries to his face.

Officers described the man as white, aged around 20-25 years, wearing a blue hooded top, cargo-style trousers, and boots. He was carrying a Tesco carrier bag.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Southend last month.
“It was reported that a teenage child was attacked by a man in KFC in the High Street at about 6.30pm on Thursday 20 October, leaving him with numerous significant injuries to his face.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have any further information about this incident to contact us.
“If you have any information or footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote the crime reference number 42/261400/22.”
