A popular south Essex high street pub has officially opened its doors after a four-week revamp.
The Swan, in Brentwood High Street, has undergone an "impressive" full refurbishment, transforming the interior and exterior into a modern space, with a touch of classic, proper British pub charm.
The garden area in particular has seen a major upgrade, with the installation of a grand pergola, seating for 120 people, space heaters and TVs.
The interior refurbishment includes a remodelled bar area and new layout.
Additionally, there is a new large function room which can be booked for various events such as business meetings, celebrations, or even to watch football with friends.
Alongside the revamped interior and exterior, the pub will offer a brand-new food and drink menu which includes classic dishes, alongside an extensive range of sharing plates and platters, which are perfect for enjoying with friends.
Sharing platters include spicy nachos and a new Feast with Friends platter for two, featuring Karaage Chicken (a Japanese sticky chicken) halloumi bites, fries and more.
Diners can also choose from a series of mix and share pub plates, which include Beer Battered Cod Goujons, Crispy Squid and Pan-Fried King Prawns and Chorizo.
Customers can also look forward to weekly quiz nights on Wednesdays and karaoke on Thursdays, with The Swan additionally hosting monthly events with live music and DJ sets.
Craig Marriner, general manager of The Swan, said: “We are all very excited to reveal the new and improved Swan to the public.
"The team has been working hard behind-the-scenes, and we can’t wait for family and friends to try out the brand new garden space. We’re looking forward to welcoming back old and new friends.”
