Southend Airport has launched a deal today encouraging pilots not to give the airport "the cold shoulder" this winter.
The airport has today introduced an exclusive deal for the general aviation community, allowing them to ‘touch-and-go’ at a discounted price over winter.
The offer, 'Circuits for £6', supports pilot circuit training at the based airport from November 21 to March 31 with every circuit at only £6.
Qualifying aircraft must be below 2.4 tonnes and pay an initial landing fee of £6 – a significant reduction from the regular landing fee of £24 per tonne + VAT.
Each touch-and-go thereafter is only £6, with no minimum or maximum number of circuits to be eligible for the price reduction.
Booking is essential and pilots are encouraged to contact London Southend Airport Air Traffic Control at +44 (0)1702 538 420, quoting ‘Circuits for £6’.
A spokesman for Southend Airport Air Traffic Control said: “We are pleased to announce that London Southend Airport is supporting winter currency for the GA community with another circuit deal launching today.
"Circuits at Southend will now cost a simple £6 per touch and go for those not making a full stop landing."
They added: "We look forward to seeing you soon."
