A south Essex Aldi has re-opened bigger and better this morning with a "new look" after a significant revamp.

The supermarket in London Road, Grays, reopened at 8am today (November 24), following a significant refurbishment and extension.

Grays shoppers can benefit from a larger retail space of 1,484 sqm, created to make shopping even easier.

The store now boasts more space and clearer signs to make shopping "effortless", with fresh bread and cakes moved to the last aisle, and new freezers added.

Customers can also take a walk down the ‘Aisle of Aldi’, where they will find Specialbuys which are available every Thursday and Sunday.

During reopening week, the store will be offering a range of Aldi Mania clothing, including Christmas hats for £3.99, Christmas jumpers for £9.99 and hoodies or sweatshirts for £12.99 each. The shop will be run by Store Manager Nikki, along with a team of 36 colleagues from the community.

Aldi has created eight new jobs as a result of the extension and are continuing to recruit for the Grays store. Applications and more information can be found at www.aldirecruitment.co.uk/stores.

Store Manager Nikki said: “The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.

"Hopefully the new look store will make shopping at Aldi Grays that bit easier and more comfortable.”
