SEVERE delays across the whole A13 as due to a police incident it is closed both ways.
The A13 is closed both ways between Lode Avenue and Ripple Road due to a police incident.

According to AA Traffic News, it is closed both ways between A1306 (Goresbrook Interchange) Ripple Road and A123 (Lodge Avenue flyover).
They say congestion is at least four miles.
It is believed to have been shut from around 2:30am this morning, and still remains closed.
