A MAN will appear in court tomorrow after being charged with murder following the death of a man who was found seriously injured.
Essex Police officers were called to an address in Lesney Gardens, Rochford, shortly after 8.30am on Friday after receiving reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 30s had sustained a serious injury, but despite the best efforts of the emergency services he sadly died at the scene.
The Essex and Kent Serious Crime Directorate subsequently launched an investigation to establish the circumstances around his death.
Police subsequently arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
Officers have now charged Perry Coulson, 38 of Lesney Gardens, Rochford, with murder.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of his appearance at Southend Magistrates’ Court tomorrow where he will face the charge.
Following the launch of the murder investigation, detective chief inspector Louise Metcalfe moved to reassure residents.
She said: “We understand this is a concerning incident for residents but please be assured we are working quickly to determine what has happened.
“Those who live in the area may noticed an increased police presence over the couple of days whilst we carry out our enquiries.”

Since the news of the man's death condolences have poured in from residents in the town.
Julie Harris said: “RIP. So, so sad. I am thinking of you and the ones left behind. I am here if anyone needs anything.”
Debbie Saboula said: “So sad. Thinking of all his family and friends.”
