THE Haven Community Hub's Christmas Fayre has raised £2,000 for Age Concern Southend.
The festive shopping event hosted over 25 stalls selling homemade gifts, arts and crafts, books, jewellery, clothing, toys and fundraising stalls such as a Christmas children’s tombola and lucky dip, guess the weight of the cake, handmade children’s bracelets and a raffle.
Clare Rooney, Hub manager said: “This really was a community event. It was supported by staff, volunteers, community groups and local businesses. We had hundreds of visitors on the day and all the money raised will go to Age Concern Southend, who provide vital services to the elderly community of Southend and fund the Haven Community Hub.”
The event took place on Sunday November 20.
