A PHARMACIST was allegedly attacked and left with a cut lip in front of horrified patients at a Canvey GP surgery.
The victim, believed to be a pharmacist working at Hawkesbury Road Doctors Surgery, on Hawkesbury Road, was left with a bruised face after being punched and shoved by his attacker.
Essex Police has confirmed it is investigating the incident.
Dave Blackwell, leader of Castle Point Council, was told about the attack by a doctor at the surgery.
He said: “It was quite horrific and I am very shocked and gobsmacked about what happened. The man went into the surgery and went in the first door and started beating up the pharmacist.
“He was left with a bruised face and was punched a few times. The doctor told me he was in shock and called the police.
“This man could be dangerous and could be going around doing it at other surgeries too.
It’s very serious and I am fuming about it.
