A WORLD-RENOWNED disabled music group based in Southend has recorded a charity single for Christmas- and its music video is being released tomorrow.

The Music Man Project is working with the Royal Marines Band Service on the single called Music is Magic, with all proceeds going to help the project support learning-disabled people across the UK.

The talented musicians performed the inspirational song live for the first time, at The Painted Hall, Old Royal Naval College.

Music is Magic is available for pre-order from tomorrow (December 2) and the music video will also be released, according to Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt.

The single will be released on December 16 to download and stream on all major digital music stores and streaming services.

Ms Mordaunt said in the Commons today: "I would just like to make a plug that the Music Man Project's first ever Christmas single: 'Music is Magic', will be available to pre-save from tomorrow from all major music streaming platforms.

"The single will be released on the 16th of December to download on the streaming services and the music video will be released tomorrow.

"And this is in support of International Day of Disabled Persons 2022 on the 3rd of December."

The MP also revealed the talented musicians will be playing their first US gig in the New Year.

She added: "I would also just update the house, thanking the Honourable Lady for her support for Music Man, that they did want to play Broadway, and in the New Year they will be playing their first US gig, hopefully of their Christmas hit, on the USS Midway in San Diego Bay.

"And I'm sure the house wishes them luck."
