AN AUDI crashed into at least six parked cars after speeding the wrong way down a one-way street in Leigh in the early hours of the morning.
Residents in Cliffsea Grove were woken by “the sound of a bomb” at 1am in the morning as the Audi careered into a series of parked cars.
A video, shared widely across social media, shows the car driving the wrong way down the street before clipping one car and crashing into others.
Residents living in the street told the Echo at least six cars have been damaged, with one written-off.
CCTV footage also shows what appears to be the driver fleeing the scene of the crash on Sunday morning.
A woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said it was massive shock to her parents who live in the road.

She said: “It was around 1am, and my parents woke up hearing multiple loud bangs, and then car alarms, thinking some bomb had gone off.
“There were around six cars involved, with at least one being a write-off. The rest were also badly damaged and will need parts replacing too.
“You can see on the video, an Audi going the wrong way down the one-way street before hitting the cars.
“My parent’s car luckily in all of that wasn’t damaged, even though another car was pushed back into the front of it.
“It was a massive shock to them, but my dad was more shocked at how his car survived as it ended up right next to the Audi.
“On the CCTV you could see those inside make off, and by the time all the residents had come out, there was no one about.
“It is a really quiet street, so it is a shock to everyone.”
Residents said police had been made aware about the incident, but weren’t aware of any updates since.
Ashley Thompson, councillor responsible for the Leigh Ward, added: “I have spoken to a number of residents about this, so am aware of what has happened.
“It is a terrible thing to have happened. I understand it was seven vehicles that were damaged, which is an awful lot, and I have also seen the shocking footage of the incident too.
“We have good one-way signage up both ends of the road, so it is certainly nothing being neglected on the council’s behalf.
“It is an unfortunate and probably criminal incident. But I am here if the residents need me, and I hope the police can take appropriate action on this.”
