A NEW cafe and bistro opened in Basildon last week, just a month after the team were forced to close their previous business.

Here is everything we know and a look inside the new business.

The Coco Café and Bistro opened its doors for the first-time last week at 90 Whitmore Way.

Owner Kemal Kaya, 52, says their goal is to become well-established in the Basildon area for years to come.

Mr Kaya and his staff previously worked at the Garden Cafe, in Nevendon Road, for the last 20 years.

It was forced to close at the start of November to allow redevelopment plans to go-ahead.

Coco Café and Bistro is open from 7am until 4pm on Monday to Saturday, and 8.30am until 4pm on Sundays.

The menu includes lunch, dinner and grill items such as sausage and mash, and roast dinners, as well as sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, and breakfast.

They also have milkshakes and smoothies.
