A number of south Essex residents have been sentenced and appeared in court in connection with knife relates crimes.
Here's the south Essex defendants who appeared in the dock charged with knife related offences.
Daniel Fry, 41, of The Avenue, Benfleet, was sentence for possessing a lock knife in a public place.
On May 11 in Southend he had with him, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place Eastwood Road, Southend an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely a lock knife.
He was committed to prison for 3 months suspended for 12 months, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £128 and pay costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
On the same day he used a motor vehicle, in Southend on Sea, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks.
There was no separate penalty.
On the same day in the city he had in his possession an amount of cannabis.

Dominic Kiely, 20, of Caldwell Road, Stanford-le-Hope was sentenced for possession of a knife.
It was alleged that on June 17 in Maidstone he allegedly without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, had with him in a public place, an offensive weapon, namely an axe.
It was dismissed and no evidence offered.

He was committed to prison for 120 days suspended for 12 months, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £154, pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Ervin Gash, 19, of Rushley Close, Great Wakering, was in court for carrying a machete.
On June 12 in Southend he had with him, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place Whitegate Road an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely a machete.
He was committed to prison for eight months suspended for 18 months, ordered to complete 40 days Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and carry out unpaid work for 200 hours.
He was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £156, pay costs of £145 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Hichem Amman, 21, Crest Avenue, Grays, was in court for possession of a retractable Stanley Knife.
On October 20 in London Borough of Haringey had with him, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place Tottenham Hale Underground Station an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely a retractable Stanley Knife.
He was committed to prison for 3 months suspended for 12 months, 20 days of Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £154.
Edvinas Zilionis, 28, of Crosse Courts, Laindon was in court for knife possession.
It's alleged that on May 22 in Cardiff he allegedly had with without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place Old Brewery Quarter, Caroline Street, Cardiff, an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely Stanley Knife.
The matter's been sent for trial to Cardiff Crown Court on December 14 2022. He was placed under a curfew from 10pm and 6am.
