Police smashed their way through a front door in Southend this morning as officers executed two drug warrants.
This morning, officers from the Southend community policing team executed two warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Four warrants have been completed by the team in Southend in the past week, as police look to take action based on community intelligence.
A spokesman for Essex Police in Southend said: "We are aware that it can be frustrating when you report things but don't see immediate action.
"We review every report that comes in and use them to build up an intelligence picture, to approach the magistrates court for a warrant."
Todays activity saw a quantity of suspected class A drugs recovered, along with an item which police say is believed to have been designed to resemble a firearm.
