Hive Nature School at Garon Park was illuminated to create a festive nighttime spectacle.
The Christmas at the Hive event in Southend took place on Monday and there are still tickets for the last event on Saturday.
Families can explore the lit up paths and find Father Christmas taking a break as he prepares for the big day. The mischievous elves come out to meet visitors and storytelling takes place from an ancient traveller resting at nativity nook.
Visitors can tie a Christmas wish to the purple tree and post letters to Father Christmas.
It costs £5 per person. Visitors can pay on the gate. Christmas at the Hive is located at Garon Park opposite the Leisure Centre.
Christmas at the Hive is being delivered by Steps ahead in association with Wellbeing Garon Park.
