The A13 in Benfleet has re-opened this morning after a burst water main shut it and saw traffic chaos across south Essex.
Last night the road between Sadlers Farm and Tarpots in Benfleet was closed due to a water leak.
Yesterday, Rebecca Harris, MP for Castle Point, and Andrew Sheldon, Essex County Council councillor for South Benfleet reported both lanes Southend bound, and one lane London bound were closed due to the leak.

This morning councillor Michael Dixon posted online: "Sadlers farm. Open and flowing. 6.08am."
Last night saw very long delays across south Essex following the burst pipe.
