Police have released the names and photos of two people they want to speak with in connection with a fatal 'hit-and-run' investigation in Southend.
UPDATE 4.29pm: Police are no longer looking to speak with Kiy Harmes and Jason Thomas Davis. Two men have now been arrested in connection with this investigation.
Officers were called to Southchurch Road in Southend around 12.40am yesterday morning (December 21) following reports of a man being found in the carriageway with serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital where he sadly died. The victim has been identified as Stuart Chiddicks, 30 from Southend.
Police are now in the position to release the names and photos of two men they want to speak with in connection with the probe.
Jason Thomas Davis, 32, from Southend is described as a white man, of a medium build with brown hair.
Police are also looking to speak with Kiy Harmes, 25 from Southend who is described as a white man or a slim build.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Anyone who has seen these men or has any further information on their whereabouts is asked to contact us to assist with our enquiries."
Officers are also continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have any further information to contact them.
Police are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen a red Ford Fiesta, with a black roof in the area around that time.
The registration plate of this vehicle is CA64 ONZ.
