An investigation was launched by the company as they said they “have a zero-tolerance approach to these kinds of reports”.
Poundland has now confirmed the mouse has been caught, and with no evidence it “had any friends”, the store has re-opened.
A spokesman for Poundland said: “The store has reopened this morning after the mouse was caught.
“We found no evidence overnight that he had any friends.”
