A woman died in Basildon after emergency services were called to concerns for her welfare.
Police and medics were called to Hereford Walk, Basildon, at 11.50am on Thursday.
Essex Police say here are no suspicious circumstances around the woman’s death.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman in Hereford Walk, Basildon, at 11.50am on Thursday 5 January.
"We arrived alongside emergency services colleagues and found a woman had, sadly, died.
"Her death was initially treated as unexpected and it was investigated. The public will have seen a policing presence in the area whilst that investigation was ongoing.
"We are now able to confirm there are no suspicious circumstances around the woman’s death and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
