A major road in Southend is blocked this evening with police on the scene after reports of a crash.
Victoria Avenue is blocked both ways from B1015 (The Blue Boar Pub) to Fairfax Drive, according to AA travel updates, and traffic is queueing traffic due to a crash.
Photos from the scene show a police presence in the area as emergency services deal with the incident.
According to witnesses, the road has now been shut. Some also reported hearing a helicopter.
Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
